Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Animal Care Attendant at Cats Castle Cat Hotel in Hamilton, ON. The Animal Care Technician will be responsible for providing daily care, feeding, and grooming for our cat guests, maintaining clean and sanitary living spaces, monitoring health and behavior, and ensuring a safe and enriching environment for the cats.
We currently have a new location in Waterdown/Dundas under construction set to open in Fall/Winter of 2024. Potential to work out of Hamilton or Oakville depending on individual availability/flexibility.
Qualifications
- Animal Care, Pet Care, and Animal Health skills
- Experience in animal work and handling cats
- Experience administering medications and treatments is a plus
- Ability to handle and manage cats of various breeds and temperaments
- Knowledge of feline behavior and common health issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in animal care or related field is a plus
