JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Cable Lead, the Junior-Intermediate Cable Technician is responsible for assisting with the soldering, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cable assemblies and related equipment. The role requires the individual to have basic technical knowledge, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety and quality.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Assist with the smoldering and assembly of cable assemblies and related equipment under supervision.
- Execute routine shop functions including cutting, striping, package, zip tying, heat shrinking, and performing the Loctite procedure.
- Perform maintenance requirements on machines and maintain working area and equipment.
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports on equipment.
- Other cabling and QC related tasks as required.
- Participate in company safety program and contribute to safe working environment.
WHAT DO I NEED TO SUCCEED?
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
- Quick problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to complete repetitive tasks accurately
- Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
- Capacity to offer suggestions on process improvement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
