We are looking to expand our team with another full time position.
We are seeking a skilled, hard working, reliable and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be able to work independently or as part of a team on diverse construction projects.
Applicants must have a Red Seal Carpentry ticket, valid class 5 driver’s license, the flexibility to work in Prince George as well as the surrounding area as needed, as well as basic PPE (steel toed boots, etc.)
All other tickets, training, and experience is considered an asset and will be taken into consideration.
In addition to the hourly wage the compensation package includes a nicely equipped work truck that can be taken home every night, a company fuel card, company cell phone, extended health benefits, and a jobsite/tool trailer stocked with everything you could need.
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a carpenter with proficiency in various carpentry techniques including construction, installation, and repair of buildings & structural components.
- Experience building decks, roof structures, timber framing, fences, sheds, concrete forming, and general home renovations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and scopes of work to determine project specifications.
- Experience with roofing, exterior siding & exterior finishing.
- Familiarity with interior finishing, drywall installation, vinyl flooring, trim & doors, caulking, and painting.
- Experience in cabinet installation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
