Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy heavy trucks and trailers. This role requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment operates safely and effectively.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and assembly tasks.
- Operate heavy equipment to test functionality after repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on-site.
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job.
- Strong understanding of automotive repair principles.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.

Pay: $38.00-$46.30 per hour
