Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic specializing in off-road machinery to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment used in construction, agriculture, and industrial settings. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with off-road equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. The position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery and contribute to the safe and reliable operation of our fleet.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on off-road heavy equipment including Compact Track Loaders and skid Steers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery
- Operate heavy equipment for testing or troubleshooting purposes when necessary
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
- Assist with assembly of new equipment or components as required
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding repair status or technical issues
Skills
- Proven dealership or heavy equipment mechanic experience with off-road machinery
- Strong knowledge of excavator, crane, forklift, Caterpillar equipment, and other industrial or farm machinery
- Skilled in welding, electrical troubleshooting, schematics reading, and automotive repair techniques
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, HVAC systems related to heavy equipment maintenance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment when necessary
- Mechanical knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical components
- Experience with assembly processes for new or repaired machinery
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills for effective communication with team members and clients

Pay: $43.00-$50.00 per hour
