We are hiring to build a robust Talent and Development team to support our bakeries and Team Members.
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Workers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our facility. Your efforts will help ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both employees and customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
PAY:
- Wage: $21/hr
- vacation pay paid on weekly paystubs
- Morning Shift 6 am to 2:30 pm
- Afternoon Shift 2 pm to 10:30 pm
- Night Shift 10 pm to 6:30 am
- Afternoon shift Premium 6 pm-12 am $0.25/hr
- Night Shift Premium 12 am- 6 am $0.50/hr
Applicant must have a flexible schedule Sunday to Saturday and be available to work weekends
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area.
- Use cleaning equipment (scrapers, brushes, pads, vacuums, scrub machine, compressed air, power washers) to clean production floors, ceilings, walls of the bakery (warehouse, freezer, refrigerators, packing and production).
- Be responsible for locks out, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing of production machines as required in accordance with master sanitation schedule and standard operating procedures
- Adhere to cleaning procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices Standards and Health and Safety guidelines
- Collect waste and recyclable materials from production area and dispose of them
- Assist in the cleaning of any major spills of liquid or dry product as needed
- Perform specialized cleaning procedures in accordance with master sanitation schedule
- Comply with all applicable legislative and Weston Bakeries food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must be flexible to work afternoon/night shift including weekends and overtime as required.
- Ideally, 1 year or more of Sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment but not required.
- Comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals
- Quick learner and able to adapt to new skills and methods quickly and easily.
- Forward thinking and ability to problem solve.
- Good communication skills, interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to follow directions from Supervisory Staff.
- Work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
