Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Cabinet Maker for our Millwork Shop. The ideal candidate will oversee the fabrication of custom cabinetry and woodwork, ensuring precision, quality, and adherence to project specifications. This leadership role requires a strong background in woodworking, construction, and team coordination to deliver exceptional craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment. The Lead Cabinet Maker will also mentor junior team members and coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the cabinet making team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately produce cabinetry and millwork components
- Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other woodworking equipment safely and effectively
- Oversee the assembly, installation, and finishing of custom cabinets and wood products
- Coordinate with other trades such as electrical, plumbing, or masonry as needed for integrated projects
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
- Assist in estimating project costs and materials based on schematics and project scope
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the fabrication process to maintain craftsmanship standards
- Mentor team members on woodworking techniques, tool usage, and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cabinetry, woodworking, or millwork manufacturing with demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment
- Familiarity with construction painting, restoration, flooring installation, tile laying, roofing, siding, rebar installation, masonry, caulking, plumbing, electrical work, and general construction is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience in construction estimating or project coordination is desirable
- Strong communication skills to lead a team effectively and collaborate across trades

Pay: $18.94-$40.00 per hour
