Responsibilities
- Travel to client locations to assess furniture condition and determine repair or restoration needs
- Perform detailed repairs including wood refinishing, upholstery work, veneer repairs, and structural stabilization
- Use specialized tools and techniques to restore furniture to its original beauty and functionality
- Communicate clearly with clients about repair processes, timelines, and care instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site and in your mobile toolkit
- Keep detailed records of each project, including materials used and work performed
- Stay updated on the latest furniture restoration techniques and industry best practices
Skills
- Proven experience in furniture repair, restoration, or woodworking with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, upholstery equipment, and finishing products
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues quickly and develop effective solutions
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality craftsmanship in every project
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple appointments efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining processes and building customer trust
