About This Opportunity:
CPA Ontario is currently in search of a Director, Corporate Partnerships to drive sales and growth by building strategic partnerships with medium to large sized employers.
This senior leadership role is a new position at CPA Ontario and is responsible for enterprise level sales and long-term partnership development. You’ll be tasked with expanding CPA Ontario’s presence within key organizations and positioning us as a trusted partner in professional learning.
As part of the wider Professional Development team, reporting to the VP, Professional Development, you’ll work closely with two other directors and be directly responsible for increasing sales by identifying and cultivating new corporate relationships, building credibility with senior finance, HR, and learning leaders, and championing CPA Ontario’s full portfolio of learning solutions including seminars, certifications, and innovative development pathways that support workforce capability and career progression.
This is an incredible opportunity to work closely with the team and to do something that hasn’t been done here before. This is an active sales role and there is the expectation of frequent travel in and around the GTA while you are meeting with potential partners. You must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for business travel.
What You’ll Be Doing:
-
Develop an enterprise partnership and sales strategy and then execute that strategy by targeting medium to large sized employers across priority sectors, owning the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to close.
-

-
Build and manage senior level relationships with employers, industry associations, sector councils, and ecosystem partners to expand reach, impact, and workforce development outcomes.
-
Identify and deliver revenue generating opportunities such as cobranded programs and sponsorships, with accountability for pipeline forecasting, KPIs, ROI, and revenue targets.
-
Lead and develop a team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management while scaling people, processes, and the partnership portfolio in line with business growth.
-
Position CPA Ontario as a preferred professional development partner by articulating a compelling employer value proposition grounded in professional standards, practitioner led expertise, and regulatory credibility.
-
Partner with other internal stakeholders within the Professional Development and Product teams to align employer relevant learning solutions and enterprise offerings with market needs, customer insights, and regulatory standards.
-
Support the development of differentiated learning solutions that maintain professional integrity while competing effectively with large digital learning platforms.
To Be Successful You’ll Need:
-
An undergraduate degree or diploma in business or a related field
-
7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise sales, new business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate relationship management, and a proven ability to build complex, high value relationships.
-
Strong commercial acumen, including experience in proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and contract management, and can translate employer needs into solution-based offerings within Continuing Professional Development or Continuing Education environments.
It would be even better if you:
-
Have sales experience in learning, training or professional development / education solutions.
-
Have experience positioning offerings against digital learning platforms or largescale learning providers, along with familiarity in accounting, finance, or other regulated professional settings.
-
Can bring experience developing enterprise learning solutions - such as subscription based, cohort driven, or multiyear partnerships.
-
Have a CPA designation or experience working closely with CPAs or finance professionals.
