Summary
We are seeking dedicated General Labourers, Machine Operators, Utility Workers to join our team in Stratford, Ontario. This role is vital in supporting our mission to provide high-quality metal building systems that meet our clients' needs and uphold our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate or assist in operating roll forming equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely and effectively
- Assist in crating and packaging of finished products according to specifications, as required
- Load, stage, and move raw materials to support production
- Remove, stack, and package finished products according to specifications
- Perform daily equipment inspections and complete required safety checklists prior to operation
- Identify and report safety hazards, equipment issues, and quality concerns to the supervisor promptly
- Help complete production and quality documentation as directed
- Communicate effectively with operators and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards
- Follow established quality control procedures and inspection criteria; take appropriate action to address actual or potential issues
- Complete and review receiving coil check sheets to ensure material accuracy and quality
- Perform coil embossing as required; complete associated documentation and submit to Production Control
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing principles in daily tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skill
- High mechanical aptitude
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 40+lbs.
- Proven experience in construction or building materials industry.
- Strong knowledge of metal cladding, roofing, or related systems.
