Overview
Iron Horse Earthworks Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to lead crews on a major industrial civil and earthworks project in Port Hope, Ontario.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and experience supervising civil crews performing excavation, underground utility installation, concrete, grading, and heavy equipment operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise field crews and subcontractors
- Coordinate daily construction activities and work planning
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Coordinate equipment, manpower, and materials
- Conduct toolbox meetings and enforce safety requirements
- Communicate with project management, surveyors, and inspectors
- Assist with quality control and daily reporting
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in civil construction supervision
- Strong background in earthworks and underground utilities
- Ability to read civil drawings and grading plans
- Experience coordinating heavy equipment operations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Industrial construction experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
