Dental Assistant – Preventive Module Preferred
We are looking for a motivated and caring Dental Assistant to join our growing team.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold a valid Practice Permit from the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA) with the Preventive (Scaling) Module. However, we welcome applications from all qualified Dental Assistants with a valid Alberta Practice Permit.Also new grad are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments.
- Maintain infection prevention and sterilization protocols.
- Take a dental radiographs (X-rays). Digital,
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software.
- Perform scaling and preventive procedures if authorized under your Practice Permit.
Qualifications
- Valid Practice Permit from the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA).
- Preventive (Scaling) Module is preferred.
- Previous dental assisting experience is an asset.
- Experience with dental practice management software or electronic health records is an asset.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
