Job Overview
We are looking for friendly, organized, and energetic Host/Hostess/Expo Team Members to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and is passionate about creating a welcoming experience for guests while helping maintain smooth and efficient service operations.
As a Host/Hostess/Expo Team Member, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing seating, coordinating food orders, and supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure an exceptional guest experience. We are looking for reliable team members who can stay organized under pressure, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Manage waitlists and assist with reservations when required
- Coordinate and organize food orders before they leave the kitchen
- Ensure food is delivered to the correct tables accurately and efficiently
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and serving staff to maintain smooth service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stands, service stations, and dining areas
- Assist with food running, table resets, and guest requests when needed
- Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Follow food safety and restaurant cleanliness standards
- Assist with opening, closing, and side duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or retail experience is preferred
- Experience as a Host/Hostess, Food Runner, Expo, or Front-of-House Team Member is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy service periods
- Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional appearance
- Ability to work well with both front-of-house and kitchen teams
- Basic knowledge of food safety and restaurant cleanliness standards
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night shifts
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs when required
