Responsibilities:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and related financial transactions, in accordance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards. This role maintains strong vendor relationships, supports cash management, and assists with various accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and post vendor invoices, reviewing for accuracy of dates, pricing, quantities, coding, and approvals; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
- Prepare the weekly payment report for management approval and process electronic payments through the online banking platform.
- Apply payments in Chempax, reconcile payment records, and issue payment advices to vendors.
- Review, reconcile, and process corporate credit card transactions, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and documentation.
- Manage payments for corporate accounts and vehicle lease agreements, ensuring accurate records and timely payment.
- Record and reconcile interest income and expense transactions; assist with related financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and support month-end/year-end close and internal/external audits.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and complete ad-hoc projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of accounts payable or accounting experience.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems, preferably Datacor.
- Experience using online banking platforms.
