Neighbourhood Better Living Belleville Inc., a 160-bed long-term care home, is an exciting new project that will be dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents in partnership with UniversalCare Canada Inc., our family members, valued employees and community partners. Residents will be admitted in the Spring of 2026.
Our team is currently hiring for a new vacancy, a permanent full-time Nurse Practitioner.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
-Provides support for coordinating/monitoring all operational/quality improvement nursing activities.
-Indirect management of all nursing employees in the long-term care home.
-Completes daily clinical rounds, physical examinations/orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests.
-Records physical findings, formulates action plans and prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment to improve resident care.
-Monitors residents' charts to identify high-risk residents and provides assessments for residents with High Intensity Needs (HIN).
-Ensures quality risk management activities are implemented and maintained, establishes/maintains clinical care programs to support the needs of all residents.
-Ensures critical incidents are investigated, reported and follow-up is taken to resolve any concerns.
-Ensures compliance with organizational standards, the collective agreement, as applicable and all relevant regulations, and/or legislative requirements and strategic initiatives.
-Communicates with related Long-term care Health Agencies to promote coordination and/or planning of long-term care services.
-Participates in multi-disciplinary care conferences, the strategic planning process, committees and other meetings, maintains an organized system of records management.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Current registration and a member in good standing as a Nurse Practitioner with the provincial College of Nurses.
-One year working experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a health-care setting, preferable in the long-term care sector would be considered an asset.
-Demonstrates knowledge of current trends and best practices relative to nursing.
-Sound knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Homes Act 2021, Ontario Regulations 246/10.
-Excellent leadership, oral and written communication skills and strong relationship building abilities.
-Proficiency with computerized documentation systems.
-Satisfactory vulnerable sector check and TB test.
