KATL Heavy Equipment is a shop and mobile heavy equipment repair company in business for the last 10 years and is currently expanding through the Edmonton region and Alberta.
KATL Heavy Equipment is looking to hire two red seal heavy duty mechanics or 3rd and 4th year apprentices for employment in Edmonton repairing heavy mining equipment. Mechanics will run a company service truck with all tools supplied. The right candidate will be required to diagnose, repair and preform inspections on equipment. Employee benefits are supplied after 3 months of work. Mechanics will need to provide a drivers abstract and pass a drug and alcohol test before employment.
Summary
As a Journeyman Red Seal or 3rd and 4th Year Apprentice Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various heavy machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Reporting to the Lead Mechanic, you will utilize your core skills in mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation, while leveraging premium skills such as welding and experience with heavy equipment repairs. Your role is vital in supporting our operations and delivering exceptional service to our clients, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of our equipment fleet.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Utilize hand and power tools to diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues.
- Operate various heavy machinery, safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot equipment problems and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding equipment performance.

Pay: $45.60-$58.00 per hour
