Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to provide essential in-home care and assistance to individuals in need. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for clients across various stages of life and health conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisted living, patient care, or senior care, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on clients’ lives through personalized support and caregiving services.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Assist with medical appointments or errands as needed
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any concerns to healthcare providers or family members
- Implement specialized care plans for individuals with dementia, disabilities, or hospice needs
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, senior care, hospice care, or home care preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and caregiving best practices
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or dementia requiring specialized attention
- Strong caregiving skills including medication administration and meal preparation
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility support
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently while following care plans and safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license is a plus for transportation duties but not mandatory
