Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Automotive Apprentice Technician in their 2nd or 3rd year to join our dealership team. This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance, providing a valuable opportunity to develop your skills in a professional environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with hand and power tools, and a desire to advance their automotive career through practical training and mentorship.
Duties
- Assist senior technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles, including engine, brake, suspension, and electrical systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components accurately
- Conduct welding and assembly tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and working with heavy parts
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Support the team with vehicle inspections and quality control checks
- Learn to interpret technical manuals and schematics to enhance repair accuracy
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or having completed the 2nd or 3rd year of an automotive technician program or equivalent dealership experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive repair processes
- Experience with welding, schematics reading, and assembly is preferred
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients when needed
- Previous mechanic experience or dealership background is a plus but not required
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from senior technicians
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
