The Role
As a Finishing Operator, you will be responsible for running general finishing equipment, performing hand work and basic kitting within the Bindery and Fulfillment areas. You will also have the opportunity to utilize various types of equipment including laminators, Renz binding machines, drills, circular padders, poly and shrink wrappers, Shanklin, banders, counters and coilers, and more.
This is an onsite role working Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and follow docket written instructions and sub folders pertaining to specific equipment and dockets, ensuring completed product matches copy folder provided
- Set-up equipment based on job specifications and monitor quality of finished product
- Log all damaged forms and complete paperwork if required to have forms re-run if necessary
- Run assigned equipment to meet production requirements while ensuring quality and production efficiency
- Follow DCM Health and Safety protocols, including maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
Assist in all other areas of Bindery when required due to production demands as required by Manager or Lead Hand

Skills & Experiences
- Post Secondary School diploma, paired with 1+ years of work experience
- Previous exposure to working in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong understanding of imperial measurements
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Compensation
$18.67 CAD per hour
The compensation range listed reflects the expected compensation for the role. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual skills and experience.
