The ideal candidate must be:
- A member of good standing with the Law Society of Alberta;
- 3+ years of family law practice experience and be able to make a positive contribution to a firm culture emphasizing collegiality, mutual respect and team building between lawyers and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in all aspects of family law.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and arguments.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, agreements, and court filings.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in family law statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and responsiveness.
- Uphold ethical standards and professional conduct at all times.
