Shop Hand-Shop Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Foreman-Shop, assist with repairs, maintaining the shop's cleanliness and organization, and helping with inventory and supplies.
- Receive, understand and execute instructions from Foreman-Shop and senior employees.
- Clean equipment and tools.
- Disassemble equipment, if needed, to thoroughly clean.
- Identify faulty/damaged equipment and/or defective materials and inform foreman/supervisor of problem.
- Determine the correct type of tools/equipment to be used for a specific task.
- Utilize checklists, inspections, work procedures and safety guidelines to complete tasks.
- Complete assigned tasks in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
- Perform routine housekeeping duties in the shop.
- Complete all required paperwork daily, including hazard assessment.
- Cooperate with the Training department for scheduling of new/recertification training.
- Observe all safety procedures and use proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- Ensure all Sterling Industries work procedures, policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations are followed.
- Represent Sterling Industries Inc. in a light that is commensurate with the values of Management and the Corporate Vision and Mission Statements.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
