Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Converting Bag Machine Set-up Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves supporting the operation of bag machines and ensuring smooth production processes within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with manufacturing or machining processes and previous experience in bag making. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills and contribute to high-quality production output.
Responsibilities
- Complete changeover on any piece of bag making equipment
- Must be capable to set up all attachments onto bag machine
- Make adjustments to produce bag to customer specifications
- Weighs and disposes and reports the scrap generated by bag machines or quality checks such as misprint.
- Tags any rolls on hold for inspection and subsequent disposition
- Moves completed finished goods to staging area in warehouse
- Responsible for area housekeeping, cleans machine, perforations, bags, roll stock and packaging materials around the machine and common areas
- Performs QC checks on all machines running
Qualifications
- Eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
- Experience in flexible packaging bag making is an asset.
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to work a rotating 12 hour Continental shift
- Work overtime as required
- Must work as a team player and show initiative in learning new tasks. Always approach any job in a healthy and safe manner
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

- Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.
Pay: $20.91-$26.77 per hour
