Logistics Coordinator
Job Responsibilities
Summary
The Logistics Planner is responsible for coordinating transportation, customs clearance activities, customer order fulfillment, inventory control, and warehouse logistics operations. This position serves as the primary liaison between customers, customs brokers, carriers, overseas suppliers, and warehouse operations to ensure shipments are delivered on time, customer requirements are met, and inventory accuracy is maintained.
The successful candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment. Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, along with advanced SAP and Excel proficiency, are required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Transportation & Customs Coordination
a. Coordinate weekly ocean, air, and ground transportation shipments.
b. Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, terminals, and overseas suppliers regarding shipment status and customs clearance.
c. Arrange delivery appointments for ocean containers and monitor shipment schedules.
d. Ensure empty containers are returned before free-time deadlines to avoid detention and demurrage charges.
e. Track inbound and outbound shipments and proactively resolve transportation delays or issues.
f. Monitor carrier performance and transportation costs.
2. Customer Order Management
a. Manage daily customer orders and shipping schedules.
b. Coordinate with warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
c. Maintain customer order fulfillment rate at 100%.
d. Communicate order status, shipment schedules, and exceptions to customers.
e. Support customer inquiries and provide logistics-related updates.
3. Warehouse Operations
a. Coordinate daily inbound and outbound warehouse activities.
b. Prepare and review shipping documentation, packing lists, bills of lading, and inventory reports.
c. Work closely with warehouse supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow.
d. Support receiving, shipping, and inventory control processes.
4. Inventory Control
a. Monitor inventory levels and investigate inventory discrepancies.
b. Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
c. Analyze inventory transactions and maintain inventory accuracy.
d. Maintain warehouse inventory accuracy of at least 99%.
e. Generate inventory reports and support customer inventory audits.
5. Reporting & Process Improvement
a. Prepare logistics, inventory, and operational performance reports.
b. Utilize SAP and Excel to analyze operational data and support decision-making.
c. Monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, transportation performance, and customer service.
d. Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and warehouse productivity.
e. Support new customer implementations, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
- Experience coordinating international shipments, customs clearance, and transportation providers.
- Experience working in a warehouse and distribution environment preferred.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written).
- Ability to communicate effectively with overseas suppliers, customers, and business partners in China.
Technical Skills
- Advanced SAP skills required, including:
- Order processing
- Inventory management
- Shipping and receiving transactions
- Inventory reporting and analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Data analysis
- Reporting and dashboard creation
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is an asset.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
