We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Dock Worker/ Forklift Operator to join our client's warehouse team in Charlottetown. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced shipping and receiving environment and has experience operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
THE JOB
- Safely load and unload inbound and outbound customer freight, both manually and using a forklift
- Assist with stripping and loading trailers
- Operate electric and manual pallet jacks
- Palletize freight and secure loads using load bars
- Perform general dock labour, including lifting, carrying, and moving freight
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by sweeping floors and trailers and disposing of debris
- Complete basic clerical duties as assigned
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
REQUIREMENTS
- Available for overnight shifts, 1:00am - 9:00am Monday to Friday
- Valid forklift certification
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks, including bending, stretching, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety and proper material handling techniques
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
