Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Night Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English (verbal and written), have a strong background in dispatching, and be ready to work flexible 10-hour night shifts. This role is crucial to ensuring smooth and timely operations across our transportation network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule driver assignments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and management via phone, email, and messaging systems.
- Monitor and track shipments in real-time, adjusting schedules and routes as necessary.
- Handle dispatch documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Resolve operational issues promptly to minimize delays and service disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Assist with other operational tasks as needed to support the team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a dispatcher in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with dispatching software and Microsoft Office.
- Must have authorization to work in Canada for at least 1 year.
