Automotive Lube Technician
Take 5 oil change is currently looking to add a Lube technician to the team. Work involves performing oil changes, air and cabin filter changes, fluid top ups, and other regular maintenance services on a wide range of vehicles. This position is bonus based which combined works out to 18.50 $/hr (17.00 + 1.50 bonus) Bonus is achieved by showing up on time and completing all tasks assigned through the week.
As an Automotive Lube Technician at Take 5 Oil Change, you will be performing the following duties and responsibilities:
-set up automotive maintenance machinery and equipment for various customer vehicle maintenance services.
-Change engine oil and lubricate moving parts.
-Visually inspect the underside of the vehicle for any leaks, other potential issues the customer should be aware of, and if rust proofing would be recommended.
-Perform rust proofing services.
-Perform Transmission services, Radiator services, Front & Rear Differential services, and Transfer case services.
-Opening and closing the store as per company procedures.
-Make sure products are in good order and accessible for fast and quality service to customers.
-Follow Take 5 Oil Change standard operating procedures on each vehicle serviced.
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS :
Candidate should be mechanically inclined and willing to work in a fast paced
environment.
Thorough knowledge and skill in the use of all types of mechanical shop tools and scanning equipment such as engine analyzing equipment, coolant system servicing equipment, transmission servicing equipment, power steering servicing equipment, and differential and driveline servicing equipment are required. Use of this equipment is required to keep all new vehicle warranty intact as well as provide preventative maintenance to all other vehicles on the road outside of warranty. Very good mechanical aptitude, coordination and dexterity and good physical condition are important in this position.
