Whitemud Ironworks Limited is one of the largest open shop commercial fabricator/erector in Western Canada. We are a fully integrated steel fabricator and erector that specializes in structural and miscellaneous steel projects in the commercial sector.

Whitemud Ironworks Limited is seeking highly skilled Field SMAW Welders to join our construction team based out of Vancouver, BC. We offer opportunities to work in town so you can be home every night, and we offer year-round work! We'll also offer opportunities to go for apprenticeship training (job protected) and you'll even be able to reimburse your tuition through our extensive benefits program after successful completion! Plus, we're big on promoting within, so you'll surely be rewarded for all your hard work.
Who we are looking for:
- Ticketed journeyman or registered apprentice
- Valid CWB SMAW all position ticket required
- CWB FCAW all position ticket is an asset
- Minimum 2 years' experience with structural steel projects
- Experience with commercial projects is an asset
- Takes safety as your number one priority
- Reliable and willing to work as a team with others
They key duties of this position include:
- Read, understand and follow instruction drawings and weld procedures
- Weld structural and miscellaneous carbon steel using SMAW or FCAW all positions
- Work at heights as required.
