Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role involves assessing customer needs, providing expert advice, and coordinating with technicians to ensure quality service delivery. A strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills are essential to succeed in this position. Previous dealership experience and sales aptitude are highly valued.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and establish a positive rapport to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
- Explain repair and maintenance options clearly, providing accurate estimates and timelines.
- Write detailed service orders, including parts and labor descriptions, ensuring accuracy for technicians and billing purposes.
- Coordinate with the service technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
- Upsell additional services or recommended repairs that benefit the customer’s vehicle performance and safety.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage cash handling procedures securely.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service histories, and follow-up appointments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory; experience in automotive repair or mechanic work is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles to effectively communicate with technicians and customers.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle inquiries professionally.
- Sales experience or aptitude for upselling additional services or products.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and communication.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Pay: $38,602.81-$48,602.80 per year
