Job Overview
Affordable Barns is seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. This role involves supporting various construction projects by performing physical tasks and ensuring the smooth progress of construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, basic knowledge of construction processes, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely. Prior construction experience and familiarity is an asset.
Duties
- Assist with site preparation, builds, cleanup, and material handling to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Support carpenters in their tasks
- Operate hand tools, power tools as required for specific tasks
- Perform Steel Structure, Metal Cladding and basic carpentry
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- A responsible attitude towards safety procedures on-site
- Valid <PERSON> license or certification may be required depending on specific job duties
- Candidate must be willing to "work away " on the road for up to 7 Days, l.o.a and lodging is paid when working on builds
