Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and food service personnel
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality
- Develop and update menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Maintain high standards of food handling, safety, and sanitation in compliance with health regulations
- Lead food presentation efforts to ensure visually appealing dishes that meet brand standards
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and promote a collaborative work environment
- Ensure efficient kitchen operations during service hours, including overseeing serving processes
- Collaborate with restaurant management on operational improvements and customer satisfaction initiatives
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food service management
- Strong team management skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities in a restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety protocols, and food handling procedures
- Prior restaurant management experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the food industry trends and hospitality standards
- Ability to lead by example in a high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
