Job Overview
Homegirl Cafe is a locally owned coffee shop deli looking to hire 1–3 friendly, reliable team members to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, working in a fast-paced environment, and being part of a small, supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, and specialty beverages
- Prepare deli items and light food according to shop standards
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service
- Operate POS system and handle cash and card transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and customer spaces
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and opening/closing procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members during busy periods
Qualifications
- Barista, café, or food service experience is an asset (training provided)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light lifting
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Schedule
- Flexible availability preferred
- Monday - Saturday
