Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide cosmetic injectable treatments in a professional medical aesthetics clinic. The successful candidate must hold an active nursing license, be registered with the Alberta provincial nursing regulator, and be authorized to perform cosmetic injections safely and professionally.
Duties
- Perform Botox (botulinum toxin) and dermal filler injections.
- Conduct patient consultations, assessments, and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on treatment options, risks, benefits, and aftercare.
- Apply advanced knowledge of facial anatomy and injection techniques.
- Recognize and manage complications, including vascular occlusion and allergic reactions.
- Administer treatments in accordance with medical authorization and prescribing requirements for Botox.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow all infection prevention and safety protocols.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
- Registered and in good standing with the Alberta provincial nursing regulator.
- Legally permitted to administer cosmetic injectables.
- Approved training in:
- Botox (botulinum toxin)
- Dermal fillers
- Facial anatomy
- Patient assessment
- Injection techniques
- Managing complications (including vascular occlusion and allergic reactions)
- Medical authorization and prescribing requirements for Botox (prescription medication)
- CPR/BLS certification and emergency preparedness experience preferred.
Pay: $30.00 per hour
