Position Overview
TurtleCreek Landscaping is seeking an experienced Lawn Maintenance Crew Lead to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and has experience leading a crew. The Crew Lead is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to company standards, and providing excellent service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a lawn maintenance crew
- Coordinate daily routes and job site activities
- Perform and oversee:
- Lawn mowing
- String trimming and edging
- Blowing and site cleanup
- Garden maintenance and weeding
- Mulching and seasonal property cleanups
- Shrub trimming and pruning
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
- Conduct quality checks throughout the day
- Train and support crew members
- Safely operate landscaping equipment and company vehicles
- Load, unload, and maintain tools and equipment
- Communicate professionally with clients and management
- Complete daily paperwork, time tracking, and job reports as required
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3 years of lawn maintenance or landscaping experience
- Previous crew lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Valid G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer
- Experience operating commercial lawn maintenance equipment, including:
- Zero-turn mowers
- Stand-on mowers
- Trimmers
- Blowers
- Hedge trimmers
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and dependable
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
