Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard to join our team and ensure the safety and security of our building, tenants, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have excellent observation skills, remain calm under pressure, and uphold our safety protocols with integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances, exits, and security systems to ensure the premises remain secure.
- Conduct regular patrols of the building and surrounding property.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies promptly and appropriately.
- Enforce property rules and regulations, including access control and visitor management.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities.
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and guests.
- Liaise with law enforcement, fire departments, or emergency medical personnel if necessary.
- Maintain accurate and organized security logs and documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid Security Guard License (as required by provincial regulations)
- Previous experience in building or commercial security is an asset
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to stay alert and remain calm in stressful situations
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and system monitoring
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical duties
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification is an asset
