OVERVIEW
The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for ensuring products (mainly concrete and aggregate) meet contract requirements, and developing corrective actions and communicating requirements to production personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
- Having an Engineering degree is a huge asset
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification
- Experience working with field teams in precast concrete.
- Good computer skills (MS Office, data entry, report preparation).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and solve problems independently.
- Proactive and resourceful: able to find solutions, take initiative, and move tasks forward.
- Strong team player and communicator, capable of working across departments.
- Ability to manage small teams or projects, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D, with practical knowledge for preparing and reviewing drawings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Field concrete testing on daily basis (slump, air content, making cylinders, etc.)
- Transporting concrete cylinders to the lab
- Support aggregate recycling operation
- Support batch operation
- Determining the QC requirements for each job
- Develop QC plans, documents and reports
- Pre-pour Inspection
- Post-Pour Inspection
- Maintain good communication with others
- Participate in the company’s safety program
- Maintain a sufficient inventory of necessary goods
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
- Form inspection
