About the Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Millwright (Maintenance Mechanic) to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize manufacturing equipment used in foam production and converting operations. You will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams, and ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations through preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on foam manufacturing and converting equipment, including mixers, pumps, conveyors, cutting systems, laminators, compressors, and material handling equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective solutions to minimize production downtime.
- Ensure machinery operates safely and guards, safety devices, and interlocks are functioning properly.
- Communicate maintenance activities, equipment status, and repair recommendations effectively.
- Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification (433A) or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and schematics.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and maintenance management systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
