We are looking for someone to fill the role of Flush/Vac Truck Operator.
Basic Function:
Reporting to the appropriate Crew Lead, the Flush/Vaccuum Truck Operator skillfully operates a vacuum-truck (hydrovac) to clean, service, and inspect drainage systems for residential, commercial, and multi-family sites as well as ahead of trenchless install projects.
The Operator cleans pipes, catch-basins, and manholes of all diameters. They take measurements and assess the condition of infrastructure visually, informing management of further issues or repairs as necessary. They inspect and clean their truck regularly and communicate professionally with clients and staff.
Key Qualifications:
· Ability to read and understand drainage infrastructure drawings, including service locates.
· Good attention to detail, problem solving, and ability to multitask.
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs (manhole lids).
· Basic mechanical skills for truck upkeep and maintenance highly beneficial.
· Valid BC Drivers’ license Class 3 Required. Class B CDL License with Tanker Endorsement is an asset.
Key Duties:
· Operates and maintains vacuum trucks, high pressure water equipment, and related specialty tools with a high degree of safety and skill.
· Takes measurements and assesses the condition of infrastructure.
· Inspects and cleans truck regularly.
· Performs basic maintenance and mechanical upkeep.
· Communicates professionally with clients and staff.
· Completes required paperwork (including daily safety hazard assessments and timesheets).
