MDS Coating is the leading designer and manufacturer of erosion and corrosion resistant coatings for gas turbine engine compressors. We’re looking for a sharp Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team at our Slemon Park, PEI facility.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including corporate financial statements and management reporting packages
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
- Prepare funding applications and submit government grant claim reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, reports, and documentation
- Assist with tax filings, government reporting, and other compliance requirements
- Support payroll, AP, AR, and fixed asset accounting functions as needed
- Participate in ERP system maintenance and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate across departments to support operational and financial objectives

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation or active progress toward CPA designation preferred
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and hands-on experience with financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations
- Experience with ERP systems is an asset
- Grant/government funding experience is an asset
- Must meet eligibility requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
