About the Role
I am a 47‑year‑old paraplegic (paralyzed from the chest down) looking for a kind, dependable caregiver to help with activities of daily living (ADLs), morning and night routines, and household chores. This is a personal (private) position, not through an agency.
What You’ll Do
- ADLs & Routines: Morning and bedtime support; assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and transfers/mobility
- Household Support: Light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep, and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Companionship & Safety: Friendly conversation, basic monitoring, and help with medication reminders (if needed)
What You Bring
- Caregiving experience (personal or professional) preferred
- Comfortable with physical transfers and mobility support
- Patient, empathetic, and clear communicator
- Willing to do household tasks
- CPR/First Aid and criminal record/vulnerable sector check are assets (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule
- Live‑in with support focused on daytime and evening/bedtime routines; daily downtime between routines
- Final hours/schedule to be discussed together
