Inside Technical Sales Representative
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing orders, preparing quotes, and providing excellent service to clients in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. This role acts as a key liaison between customers, production, and engineering to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order status
- Prepare and issue accurate quotes based on drawings, specifications, or bill of materials (BOMs)
- Process customer orders into JOBOSS ERP system and confirm order details with production and scheduling teams
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for upselling or repeat business
- Collaborate with engineering and production departments to ensure customer requirements are understood and met
- Follow up on open quotes, pending orders, and delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and sales activity logs
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving to ensure timely delivery of finished products
- Resolve customer issues or complaints professionally and promptly
- Support the sales team with documentation, lead follow-ups, and administrative tasks
- Stay informed on product specifications, pricing updates, and industry trends
12. Ensure compliance with all health and safety rules, policies and the Act.
13. Other duties as assigned by the VP of sales and marketing
EXPERIENCE
- Experience with quoting or estimating in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Familiarity with metals, machining, welding, or custom manufacturing services
3. Basic understanding of manufacturing lead times, materials, and processes
4. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office
5. Post secondary in a technical field, college, university or relevant years of experience required.
Salary/Wage: $26-27/hour
