Overview
Aragon Properties is seeking a reliable and service-oriented Relief Building Manager to provide on-site weekend coverage at 503 & 505 Park Place in Esquimalt. This is a front-line resident service role focused on site presence, issue triage, light coordination of trades, and maintaining a safe and well-managed residential environment.
This position is ideal for someone who is professional, responsive, and comfortable handling day-to-day building matters independently while following established procedures and escalation protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Service & Communication
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for residents during weekend hours.
- Respond to resident inquiries and service requests professionally and promptly.
- Communicate clearly with the Property Manager and/or on-call support regarding issues requiring escalation.
Building Operations & Oversight
- Conduct routine walkthroughs of common areas and building exteriors.
- Identify and report deficiencies (cleanliness, safety hazards, damage, equipment issues).
- Monitor building access and general site activity to support resident safety and building standards.
Maintenance Coordination (Non-Trade / Triage)
- Triage maintenance issues and determine urgency (routine vs. after-hours emergency).
- Coordinate access for approved contractors or service providers as required.
- Complete basic administrative documentation (incident notes, request logs, follow-ups).
Emergency Response
- Respond to building-related emergencies during scheduled hours and follow escalation procedures (e.g., flooding, fire alarms, security incidents).
- Contact emergency services, trades, or management support where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in residential building operations, property management support, concierge/building services, or a related role is preferred.
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills; calm and professional under pressure.
- Self-directed and dependable with good judgment and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using a smartphone and basic digital tools for communication and logging issues.
- Ability to perform routine site inspections and light physical tasks (walking the property, stairs, opening/closing doors, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Criminal Record Check (or willingness to complete one) may be required.
