Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and equipment, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a professional with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and vehicle maintenance. Candidates with experience in commercial driving ,Oil and gas experience and automotive repair are highly preferred. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight and equipment to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance with all transportation regulations.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely pickup and delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities.
- Assist with the operation of heavy machinery when required, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, Oil and gas work.
- Knowledge of automotive repair or basic mechanical skills is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance purposes.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently and handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
- Those with H2S Alive, TDG, WHIMIS, First Aid, And common safety orientation will have strong consideration.
- Must be located in or Near the Spruce Grove area. Those who do not live within 10 minutes of Spruce Grove will not be considered
- This is an on call 24/7 job must be willing to go to work at all hours of the day/night
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $63,000.00-$77,000.00 per year
