Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Front Opening Prep team member to join our CHICK-N-JOYT Restaurant team. This role is essential in ensuring the Fort of the House is prepared for daily operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and passionate about food service and preparation, contributing to a smooth and welcoming dining experience for our customers.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble items needed for the day’s menu offerings, including chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as cooking and plating dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations to maintain food safety standards.
- Set up front stations with necessary tools, utensils, and ingredients before opening hours.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and basic meal preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward collaboration with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work early mornings or shifts as scheduled to support opening procedures.
