Location: Hat Project, near Dease Lake, British Columbia
Schedule: Fly-In/Fly-Out (FIFO) | 5 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off
Compensation: $450/day plus production bonus ($6.60 per meter up to 400m depth, $13.20 per meter 400 to 800m depth, $ 19.80 per meter 800 to 1200m depth and so forth,)
Travel: Must be able to travel to Dease Lake, BC. Employee will be paid half the day rate for travel days in addition to travel expenses being paid.
About the Opportunity
Terracad Geoscience Services Ltd. is seeking experienced and motivated Diamond Drillers to join our team at the Hat Project, located near Dease Lake, British Columbia. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a well-established mineral exploration project while earning competitive compensation in a professional and safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate diamond drilling equipment in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Perform drilling operations to achieve production and recovery targets during the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a schedule of typically 5 weeks on, 2 weeks off depending on operational requirements.
- Conduct equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Maintain accurate drilling records, including metres drilled, core recovery, and operational data.
- Coordinate with geologists, drill helpers, and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of drill core and site materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a strong safety culture.
Qualifications
- Previous diamond drilling experience in mineral exploration with A5 Drill.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
- Ability to work effectively in remote camp conditions and on rotational schedules.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
