Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, a strong understanding of food and beverage preparation, and experience working in the food industry. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cash register transactions accurately and efficiently, including basic math calculations
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining cleanliness of work areas
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness of the service area, tables, and equipment throughout shifts
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Skills
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple orders during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Serving experience is a plus, along with familiarity with food preparation techniques
