Title of the position: Aerial Lift/ Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Job duties:
- On site Maintenance/ repair, troubleshooting, adjustment, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on a variety of rental equipment, customer equipment, and tools.
- Ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems using computerized and other testing equipment.
- Ability to inspect for faults and successfully repair the equipment
- Able to perform Ready Rental Inspections
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
- In shop repair of emergency calls as well as regularly scheduled services
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Advise customers about the operation of the equipment when necessary
- Must have own tools
- Responsible for service documentation including maintaining record of completed repair (annual inspections etc.), proper completion of work orders and other documentation as required.
- Ability to work overtime hours
Terms of employment: permanent position , full time, 40 hours per week

Skills requirements:
Education:
- Completion of secondary school
- Completion of a three- to five-year apprenticeship program OR a combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in heavy equipment repair
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of service/repair experience with a variety of construction equipment
- Aerial and forklift repair experience
- Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal in English, knowledge of Spanish is an asset
- Must be self-motivated , Strong analytical skills, High level of customer service
