Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Carpenters and Skilled Labourers to join our construction team. This role involves working on various residential, commercial, and industrial projects, requiring a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality. Duties
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing building materials such as wood, drywall, and framing components
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively
- Assisting with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling
- Ensuring all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Collaborating with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or Skilled Labourer in construction or related fields
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations on construction sites
- Excellent physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Valid driver’s license is a plus for transportation between job sites
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different project requirements
