We are seeking a qualified, compassionate and reliable Healthcare Aide to provide high-quality support and care to patients across various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, and patients requiring hospice or dementia care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive caregiving and support.
Duties
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient care including medication administration and monitoring vital signs
- Support with meal preparation and feeding for residents or clients
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, especially those with dementia or in hospice care
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure safety during transfers and repositioning
- Document patient observations and report any concerns or changes in condition promptly
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is highly desirable
- Familiarity with senior care, hospice care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Experience in caregiving roles involving medication administration, meal preparation, and light cleaning is advantageous
- Previous exposure to nursing or healthcare environments will be considered a strong asset
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and work effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week

- Valid HCA Certificate (required)
- Registration with the HCA Directory/CLHA (required)
- Hold a full drivers licence not a GDL (required)
- Police and vulnerable sector search less than 6 months old (preferred)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
