Full Time – plus overtime
Duties
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to the success of the safety program
- Cut pipes to required lengths
- Align and position pipes to prepare them for fusing
- Connect pipe pieces and seal joints using provided material
- Install sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systems
- Lay out pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisor
- Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers
What You’ll Bring
- 3 years experience in water, sewer, storm pipe installation
- Experience with compaction equipment
- Knowledge of safe work procedures and ability to follow safety signage accurately
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods and working outside in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- A valid Canadian driver’s license
