A position is available for a Registered Psychologist in our Toronto office for a candidate with at least five years of post-graduate clinical experience specializing in autistic and other neurodivergent populations. This position starts at 10 hours per week with the ability to work up to 20 hours a week; at least half of those hours must be delivered in office.
The scope of work encompasses diagnostic/psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention for youth and adults. The majority of clients will be adults presenting with autism (Level 1) and co-occurring mental health conditions without intellectual disability. Practitioners operate within a collaborative, supportive group practice that provides office space, technical and communication infrastructure, advertising, and a steady stream of targeted referrals.
Position Requirements:
- Education & Licensure: A PhD in Clinical or School Psychology is essential. Must be registered for autonomous practice in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) is mandatory.
- Clinical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of, and documented experience in, identity-affirming assessment and support for neurodivergent youth and adults. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in diagnostic care and the systemic barriers faced by neurodivergent individuals and their families.
- Assessment Proficiency: Demonstrated competence in selecting, administering, and interpreting gold-standard diagnostic and neurodevelopmental assessment tools tailored to nuanced and masked presentations alongside psychoeducational batteries.
- Systemic Knowledge: A strong working knowledge of local neurodevelopmental services, community networks, and funding supports within the Greater Toronto Area.
- Professional Execution: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage a caseload with a high degree of clinical and administrative autonomy.
